To evaluate how nematode infection during colitis influenced the production of angiogenic factors in the intestine, we examined in the intestinal mucosa of mice molecules related to angiogenesis: Amphiregulin (AREG), EGF, FGF-2, FGF-7, GM-CSF, HGF, IGFBP-3, PDGF-AA, PDGF-BB, and VEGF. Here, HGF is linked to Nematoda infectious disease.
