To date, the 2021 Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) guidelines for glomerulonephritis recommends the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE-i) or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) as first-line therapy for the management of all IgAN patients with hypertension or significant proteinuria.
