CD4 and synovial sarcoma: Increased activity of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells are common in peripheral circulation and target tissues of SS patients [61,62], and dysfunction of this miRNA pathway may contribute to the damaged glandular epithelial cells found with severe cytotoxic CD8+ T cell infiltration of the exocrine glands and account for the increased miR-34a expression detected in the tears of SS patients.
