It has been recently demonstrated that 80% of RCD-2 and 90% of EATL display somatic gain-of-functions mutations in the JAK1-STAT3 pathway, including a remarkable p.G1097 hotspot mutation in the JAK1 kinase domain in approximately 50% of cases, assuming the JAK1-STAT3 pathway to be the main driver of CD-associated lymphomagenesis [39,92]. Here, STAT3 is linked to enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma.
