In a murine model, Shin et al. showed that anti-IL-25 treatment reduced the number of nasal polyps, mucosal edema thickness, collagen deposition, and infiltration of inflammatory cells, such as eosinophils and neutrophils [81], suggesting that IL-25 may serve as a novel pharmacologic target for CRSwNP patients. The gene discussed is IL25; the disease is chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
