Sample S15 carried an unbalanced translocation t(X;10)(26.2;26.3) resulting in a gain of Xq26.2–qter, and in addition small duplications and inversions overlapping the MYC proto-oncogene, which is known to undergo rearrangements in CLL transformation to Richter [30]. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
