The intensity of GRP78 staining was significantly (p < 0.0001) higher in malignant tumors at early (44.94 × 104 ± 0.48 × 104 in 20 mm2 area) and late stages (219.2 × 104 ± 18.0 × 104 in 20 mm2 area) when compared to normal and benign tumors (Figure 2).
