BRCA1 and breast cancer: At the last follow-up, three of the fifty-two patients with no prior breast cancer and no HGSC/STIC lesion had developed breast cancer: triple-negative tumors, all in the BRCA1 mutation carriers, and all within the six years after the RF leading to a 6-year cumulated incidence of newly diagnosed breast cancer of 6.4% (95% CI, 2.1–18.9%) (Figure 3).
