Notably, Cortellini et al. [59], in a retrospective analysis including 100 consecutive patients with advanced NSCLC treated with PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitors, reported that sarcopenia was significantly associated with a shorter PFS in the univariate analysis (but not in the multivariate analysis) and a shorter OS in both univariate and multivariate analyses. The gene discussed is PDCD1; the disease is sarcopenia.
