A one-standard-deviation rise in circulating bilirubin (4.4 mol/L) predicted by non-UGT1A1 SNPs was inversely linked with a 0.64-fold risk of Hodgkin lymphoma (95% CI 0.42–0.99, p = 0.04) after putative pleiotropic SNPs were eliminated. The gene discussed is UGT1A1; the disease is Hodgkins lymphoma.
