Studies conducted by Ma et al. [56], Wang et al. [57], Li et al. [58], Zhang et al. [59], Ho et al. [60], Ruzzenente et al. [61], Zhao et al. [62], Chen et al. [63], Mao et al. [64], and Tsai et al. [65] showed that a high pre-treatment serum ALB–BIL grade independently predicted worse OS and RFS in HCC patients undergoing curative surgical resection. Here, ALB is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
