Univariate and multivariate analyses of the risk factors for advanced stages of NAFLD demonstrated a significant association between reduced IGF-1 levels and stages 2–3 of NAFLD (univariate RR = 4.643, p = 0.016; multivariate RR = 4.568, p = 0.0363). This evidence concerns the gene IGF1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
