In particular, a CXCR2 antagonist could be particularly effective in treating disorders associated with abnormally high expression of IL-8 or its receptor, including psoriasis, palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and rheumatologic conditions such as familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) and Behcet’s disease [28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35]. Here, CXCR2 is linked to palmoplantar pustulosis.
