Specifically, for early-onset MG, the presence of anti-titin antibodies strongly indicates thymoma, as 50–95% of early-onset (<40–50 years old) MG patients with thymoma are anti-titin positive, and only a few non-thymomatous early-onset MG patients are found anti-titin positive [1,26]. The gene discussed is TTN; the disease is thymoma.
