TPO and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Patients in T2DM+C-HR had significantly higher serum concentrations of fT3 and fT4, compared with the T2DM+SC-HRr group (p < 0.001) (Table 2).The results for the thyroid autoantibody showed significantly higher anti-TPO in T2DM patients with overt/subclinical hypothyroidism (53.48% and 39.02%) when compared with T2DM patients with normal thyroid function (12.5%) and T2DM patients with overt/subclinical hyperthyroidism (21.21% and 13.88%, respectively).
