Several studies have demonstrated that obesity is an independent risk factor for endometrial cancer.[15,19–21] Compared with normal weight postmenopausal women, obese women have a threefold higher risk of endometrial cancer.[22] The relationship between obesity and endometrial cancer may be related to the production of aromatase in adipocytes, which promotes estrogen production, increases the levels of insulin-like growth factor 1, and induces kohalin factor secretion.[19]. Here, IGF1 is linked to Obesity.
