Based on gene ontology (GO) analysis, we found that in CF cells, several cellular pathways enriched from 520 downregulated proteins (Log2FC < −0.5) were suppressed, including multiple collagen-related proteins being significantly reduced in CPX-treated CFs, such as three major fibrillar collagens COL1A1, COL1A2, COL3A1, profibrotic receptors PDGFRA and PDGFRB, and fibronectin (FN1) (Figure 6A, Supplementary Table S1). Here, COL3A1 is linked to cystic fibrosis.
