According to the current research, C. papaya exhibited anti-inflammatory and anti-hyperglycemic activity by modulating inflammatory molecules such IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, IKKβ, and mTOR while restoring normal levels of antioxidant enzymes, oxidative stress markers and gene expression analysis in high fat diet fed type-2 diabetes experimental rats. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
