ELOVL2 inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in prostate cancer (PC) and may act as a novel tumor suppressor to attenuate tamoxifen resistance in BC; however, in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), ELOVL2 promoted cancer progression by inhibiting apoptosis [29–31]. This evidence concerns the gene ELOVL2 and hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
