CRP and lower respiratory tract disorder: While testosterone was not related to mortality from chronic lower respiratory disease in the primary analysis, results of the follow-up analysis controlling for CRP revealed greater hazard among men with lower levels of testosterone, especially after age of 60 (spline-1: HR = 0.78 [0.65, 0.93]; spline-2: HR = 1.70 [1.12, 2.57]; Table S4).
