Their results demonstrated that Si-Se NPs could induce stronger inhibition effects on the phosphorylation of PI3Kand Akt than that of silymarin in gastric adenocarcinoma cells, which indicated that the loading of silymarin onto Se NPs could further enhance the anticancer effects of silymarin by inhibiting PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and gastric adenocarcinoma.
