Brunner et al. [31] described the correlation of u/NGAL with Up/Cre and a significant difference in u/NGAL levels between patients with active lupus nephritis compared to the group without active lesion as a correlation in NGAL with renal activity index SLEDAI/r, and a correlation of u/NGAL with the extrarenal index of SLE activity was not observed, which was confirmed with the results in other studies [31], [32]. This evidence concerns the gene LCN2 and lupus nephritis.
