The most significant SNPs suggesting a correlation with autism were rs2247856 (p = 3.069 × 10−06 at SPHK1), rs386789496 (p = 1.036 × 10−05 at LOC107984893), rs4602367 (p = 1.783 × 10−05 at PLCL2), rs6960867 (p = 2.17 × 10−05 at AKAP9) and rs12035482 (p = 2.32 × 10−05) located on chromosome 17, 16, 3, 7 and 1, respectively, (Figure 1). The gene discussed is AKAP9; the disease is autism.
