TNF and rheumatoid arthritis: miR-451a and miR-25-3p are significantly elevated in serum exosomes (secretory extracellular vesicles) from patients with early RA, and when combined with soluble tumor necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis (sTWEAK), they correctly distinguish 95.6% of patients (ROC = 0.983, specificity = 100%, and sensitivity = 85.7%); they could be used as a panel of serum biomarkers for early RA diagnosis (112).
