The expression of mRNA of GRIM-19 in the spermatozoa of patients with asthenozoospermia was significantly lower than in the normal control group, the smooth-fitting curve further suggested that there was a negative correlation between GRIM-19 and asthenozoospermia (OR 0.266; 95% CI = 0.081–0.868; P = 0.028) (Fig. 2A).
