CD68 and colorectal carcinoma: Because of the limited size of the TMA cohort lacking any healthy controls (risk to focus on the generally high BMMF exposure expected for this cohort of CRC patients) as well as poor categorization, especially for the dietary parameters describing the young age meat and milk consumption (e.g. the study included no donors without meat consumption), the lack of a statistically significant association of the Rep and/or CD68 expression with meat or milk consumption was largely anticipated.
