Regarding the cardio-effective impacts of SGLT2 inhibitors, a recent study evaluating type 2 diabetic patients with acute myocardial infarction indicated that administering SGLT2 inhibitors was associated with lower incidence of new-onset cardiac arrhythmias in patients (OR 0.35; 95% CI 0.14–0.86; p = 0.022) [25]. This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and cardiac arrhythmia.
