CD59 and endometrial cancer: Mu and colleagues used two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and LC-MS/MS to characterise urine samples acquired from women with early stage endometrial cancer (n = 7) and age-matched controls (n = 11) and found altered levels of zinc alpha-2-glycoprotein, alpha-1-acid glycoprotein and CD59 in endometrial cancer cases compared to controls [24] in a study limited by analytical sensitivity and protein quantification.
