Compared with 222 patients whose anemia treatment was corrective or reached the standard, the proportion of microcytic hypochromic anemia was higher (21.74 vs. 5.41%; p = 0.014), and the Hb level [114(103, 120) g/L vs. 118(113, 124) g/L; p = 0.023] and MCV (87.62 ± 7.68 fL vs. 90.03 ± 4.90 fL; p = 0.036) for the first incidence of anemia were lower. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and anemia.
