CXCR2 and neoplasm: CXCR2 is involved in dampening the immune reaction in a very diverse manner, and activation of the receptor by binding of its ligand was reported to halt excessive skin inflammation (Dyer et al., 2017) and inflammable bowel disease (IBD) (Kishida et al., 2015), and promote macrophage polarization to the suppressive tumor-associated macrophage (TAM) phenotype (Di Mitri et al., 2019).
