AURKA and neoplasm: In a phase II study, Abou-Alfa et al. did not find a survival benefit using oral anti-aurora kinase A.14 The only study reporting a survival benefit was a retrospective analysis by Gottlieb et al. that included 14 patients treated with 5-FU, interferon, and nivolumab with promising results in high-risk FL-HCC.9 The immunochemotherapy demonstrated a tumor control rate of 93% with an ORR of 50% in recurrence and refractory FL-HCC.
