We found that the genetically determined von Willebrand factor (VWF) levels may increase the risk of CAD and type 2 diabetes (T2D) (P < 8.4 × 10−6, i.e., 0.05/5952 computed by 64 proteins and 93 traits, Fig. 5c and Supplementary Data 9). Here, VWF is linked to coronary artery disorder.
