In accordance to other studies, in which P-cadherin has been shown to be promoted by EMT-inducers, such as hypoxia, driving anoikis-resistance capacity in breast cancer cells [43, 44], we demonstrate that P-cadherin expression is partially required for anoikis resistance observed in the MCF10A-Plk4p53KO cells, as well as in breast cancer cells exposed to their conditioned media. This evidence concerns the gene CDH3 and breast carcinoma.
