In order to evaluate whether TPX2 co-overexpression has functional consequences on processes described to be dependent on nuclear AurkA, we generated additional cell lines for the expression of AURKA, or AURKA/TPX2, in MCF10A breast non-transformed epithelial cells (Fig 5), based on the ongoing active investigation of the nuclear role of AurkA in breast cancer (see the Introduction section). Here, TPX2 is linked to breast carcinoma.
