Interestingly, the median fluorescence intensity (MFI) of CD45 gradually decreased on ASCs closer localized to white matter and was significantly lower in white matter and MS white matter lesions compared to peripheral blood (p = 0.0018 and p ≤ 0.0001, respectively), indicating a highly mature ASC phenotype in the MS brain (Fig. 3a).
