However, in HF patients with a normal renal function (eGFR > 60 ml/min/1.73m2), we found significantly higher levels for almost all urinary markers in HFpEF patients compared with patients with HFrEF: urinary KIM-1 (P = 0.049), urinary NGAL (P < 0.001), urinary osteopontin (P = 0.001), urinary uromodulin (P = 0.044) and UACR (P = 0.007), while urinary creatinine levels were significantly lower in HFpEF patients (P = 0.003). This evidence concerns the gene SPP1 and hydrops fetalis.
