Additionally, we included 42 clinical and demographical features comprising lifestyle habits (food, medicine, alcohol, smoking), comorbidities linked to obesity and non-communicable chronic comorbidities (e.g. liver function, kidney function, and diabetes), and HIV-related measurements (viral load, treatment history, CD4 T-cell count, CD8 T-cell counts) (Appendix 1). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
