RPL5 and lung adenocarcinoma: Liao et al. reported that ribosomal protein L5 (RPL5) and ribosomal protein L11 (RPL11) synergistically guide RNA-induced silencing complexes (RISCs) into c-Myc mRNA and degrade their mRNA, thereby inhibiting the activity of c-Myc in human lung adenocarcinoma cells (H1299) (Liao et al., 2013).
