Most of the participants suffered from anemia (27%) followed by migraines (11%), diabetes (10.4%), and strokes (7.4%) while 27.8% suffered from other chronic diseases such as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, allergy, obesity liver diseases, and non-specific rheumatologic condition (Figure 2). This evidence concerns the gene G6PD and diabetes mellitus.
