Results indicated a major statistically significant difference between HCC patients, LC patients, and healthy subjects with regard to the mean values ± SD of platelet (PLT) count, hemoglobin (HGB), PLT, international normalized ratio (INR), fibrinogen (FBG), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), albumin (ALB), AFP, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), and carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) (P > 0.05; Table 3). The gene discussed is AFP; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
