We found that the HSP27 protein was barely detectable in Jurkat T cells (less than 10% of AKI melanoma cells) (Fig. 10, A and B), although the protein band was strongly detected in AKI melanoma cells (Fig. 10, A and B), suggesting that SFA/MUFA-PAs function via HSP27 only in melanoma cells but not in T cells. Here, HSPB1 is linked to acute kidney injury.
