AASS, DBNDD1, PDK4, PIGA, POLR3GL, SNAP23, SPCS2, SSU72 and UBTD1 could be linked to diabetes-associated SNPs identified in the Type 2 Diabetes Knowledge Portal [14] and ARF1, BCAT2 and LDHD could be linked to skeletal muscle lipid and glucose metabolism and insulin resistance [15–17]. This evidence concerns the gene PDK4 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
