Since miRNAs have been reported to mediate the crosstalk between lncRNAs and mRNAs, we next used the online tools TargetScan and miRanda to predict miRNAs that might simultaneously target both DSCR9 and BTG2.Figure 4A shows that miR-339-5p, miR-107, and miR-21-5p were the possible candidates; among these three miRNAs, miR-107 [30,31] and miR-21-5p [32,33] were highly expressed in cancers according to previous studies. The gene discussed is DSCR9; the disease is cancer.
