The results of this study about the effect of nutrition education on markers of iron deficiency anemia showed that nutrition education caused a significant increase in Hb and ferritin levels in both the intervention and control groups, which was more pronounced in the intervention group compared with control group; although nutrition education did not have a significant effect on other markers of iron deficiency anemia such as ferritin, serum iron, TIBC, and hematocrit. Here, GSTM1 is linked to Iron deficiency anemia.
