To assess the impact of pro-inflammatory biomarkers in patients suffering from dysglycemia and dyslipidemia as compared to individuals without metabolic diseases, we longitudinally monitored the concentration of pro-inflammatory and pro-thrombotic biomarkers such as interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), serum ferritin, and d-dimer as well as adiponectin at 60, 100, 180 and 360 days after the onset of COVID-19 (Fig. 4). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and metabolic syndrome.
