Consistently, we found a significant increase in Mbp+ and Cd74+ DAOs in the hippocampus of premature progeria (6-month-old) and 13-month-old mice (Supplementary Fig. 9a–d), whereas the number of NeuroD1-positive post-mitotic neurons decreased in the hippocampus of 13-month-old mice (Supplementary Fig. 9e and f). The gene discussed is MBP; the disease is progeroid syndrome.
