Huang et al. (2017) revealed that dopaminergic neuronal protection of Treg cells is achieved via interaction between CD47 and signal regulatory protein α (SIRPA) in PD processes. Moreover, dysfunction of Treg cells decreases the ability to suppress the function of effector T cells in PD, which may accelerate its progression (Saunders et al., 2012). This evidence concerns the gene CD47 and Parkinson disease.
