In agreement with the upregulation of CD206 that serves as a useful marker to identify the M2 phenotype and the downregulation of CD80 that serves as a well-known marker to identify the M1 phenotype (39–42), mucosal infiltrated macrophages in sGRP78-treated colitis mice exhibited a significant increase in M2-associated genes Arg1, Fizz1, Ym1, and Mgl1, and decrease in M1-associated gene Inos (Figure 4F). The gene discussed is CD80; the disease is colitis.
