IRS1 and polycystic ovary syndrome: The second Chilean study (162) was a non-randomized controlled trial performed in 97 healthy women and 147 women with polycystic ovary syndrome, and there were no reported interactions between a high glycemic carbohydrate intake (75 g of glucose) during an oral glucose tolerance test and Insulin Receptor Substrate 1 (IRS-1) SNP rs1801278 on glycemic traits.
