While clinical and echocardiographic parameters were similar, biological presentation of the non-ischemic VA triggered CS appeared worse, with higher median levels of creatinine (138 vs. 115 μmol/L, p = 0.03), bilirubin (21 vs. 12, p < 0.01) and Nt-proBNP (6,787 vs. 1,520 pg/ml, p = 0.046) and lower PT (53.5 vs. 71%, p < 0.01) (Supplementary Table 5).
